A current rabies vaccine is required for all guests from four months of age and up; either yearly or every three years as required by their licensed veterinarian.
A distemper combo is required yearly for all guests under five years of age. After five years of age and regular yearly distemper vaccinations, the distemper vaccine is then required every three years. We do not currently require a distemper vaccine for guests over 10 years of age and who have been vaccinated regularly throughout their life.
A bordetella vaccine is also required for all ages of all of our guests boarding with us. This is required every six months to a year depending on the type of vaccine administered by the guest's veterinarian. Please speak with their veterinarian and let them know that the pet will be boarding or groomed so the doctor can make an informed decision.
Although, it is highly suggested that these last two vaccines be administered up to a week prior to boarding at our facility, as an added bonus for our guests owner's, we can administer these vaccines if the owner is unable to visit their pet's veterinarian for the distemper combo or bordetella vaccines prior to their pet's stay with us. The distemper combo vaccine is $25 and the bordetella vaccine is $17 and is administered nasally. If a pet is allergic to either of these vaccines, a letter from their veterinarian stating this will be accepted and the owner will be required to sign a release at the time of check in.
